When Astrid, the founder of Biches & Buches, began envisioning a woolen company, she sought yarn that would evoke memories of her trip to Norway in 1995, where she rediscovered the pure wool of Norwegian sheep and her Scandinavian heritage. She wanted a yarn with rustic charm that was also soft and comfortable to wear every day.

This dream became a reality in Scotland, where the wool is spun and dyed with exceptional care. Le Lambswool became one of the cornerstone products of Biches & Bûches, celebrated for its balance of rustic elegance and knitter-friendly texture.

Craftsmanship and Process

Le Lambswool is scoured and steam-damped during production, ensuring no traces of spinning oil remain while enhancing the yarn’s loftiness. The yarn balls are individually wrapped with hand-applied ball bands, embracing a handmade aesthetic that includes charming imperfections, a hallmark of natural wool.
