INKA | 21 µm MERINO WOOL/DEHAIRED LLAMA | SPORT | 100 G SKEINS
The natural yarn from the INKA line is a blend of 50% 21-micron merino wool and 50% dehaired llama from northern Argentina, developed by and for discerning knitters. This creation from the B-TEX natural yarn division aims to achieve a regional yarn that is hard to match globally.
These two breeds of animals raised in Argentina develop unique properties thanks to the country's geographical characteristics: an extremely cold climate in the south, where merino sheep are raised, and climates with great thermal amplitude in the northwestern part of Argentina, essential for llamas to develop their long, fine hair.
Combined with the dehairing technique (expensive, laborious, and rare in the country), the llama fibers in the yarns are only those ideal for achieving the highest quality touch of this exclusive fiber.
This yarn is spun in Argentina with the utmost care and just the right amount of twist to achieve a very soft touch.
Available in SPORT weight, our merino/llama yarn line comes in 5 natural shades, undyed, achieved only through the blending of fibers of different tones in a manual and chemical-free process.
